Hi friends,

It's been a full month here at the sanctuary — full of hard moments, hopeful ones, and a lot of purring in between. Thank you for sticking with us. Here's what's been going on.

💛 Sanctuary Updates & Growth

We're entering a new phase after a difficult stretch. Our recent board meeting brought real hope and gave us a clearer vision for where we're headed. As part of that vision, we're making some program changes — including starting a wait list for new intakes, since we're currently at capacity. We want to keep giving every cat in our care the attention they deserve, and that means being honest about our limits.

🌐 Building the Future

Big things are in the works! We're building a refreshed website that will better reflect who we are and the community that's grown around this little sanctuary. Longer term, we're working toward becoming a national nonprofit. This is a milestone that will let you, our supporters, receive tax benefits for your donations. We're also planning a future fundraiser to help make that goal a reality. More details soon!

🐱 Cat Enrichment & Handmade Products

Happy cats are always the goal. We've been adding new toys and enrichment activities for our sanctuary residents, and we're excited to share that we now have handmade cat toys available for supporters to buy for their own furry friends. We also have some new handmade items made just for the humans too. You can find them at our local craft show appearances for now, with online sales coming soon!

🛒 New Income & Fundraising Projects

We're launching an eBay thrift store. This is the first step toward a much bigger dream for the sanctuary. Alongside that, our community fundraising continues through vendor events and sales, and we've got a full vendor fair schedule planned all the way through December. Watch for dates coming soon!

📚 Educational Resources

Our very first sanctuary e-book is complete and just needs formatting. It's all about why spaying and neutering matters so much. We're already hard at work on a second one, focused on helping cat parents give their cats a better life while saving time and money. We can't wait to share both with you.

🍼 Daily Sanctuary Life

Right now we're caring for 13 cats plus 6 fosters. Behind the scenes, our small team is juggling daily care, fundraising, outreach, and growth, often all in the same afternoon. Therefore, we are currently closed for intake. We will maintain a wait list for anyone in need of a foster for their cat(s). Additionally, special needs cats will still be considered on a case by case basis. If you have any questions or need anything, please reach out. We'd still love to serve as an educational resource for you.

💛 Transparency & Community

We believe in being honest with you, even when it's hard. This month brought the loss of one of our cats (sweet baby Freya, RIP) a fundraiser rained out (currently being rescheduled for the end of November with more details to come), and moments where we felt truly overwhelmed. But we also felt so much gratitude — because you are part of this sanctuary family, and you've carried us through the hard days right alongside the good ones.
